When you connect a repository, Code Lexica walks it through a few stages before it's fully ready to use. Typical end-to-end processing takes an hour or two for most codebases. Here's what each label means in plain English.
The stages
- Pending: we've queued your repository and will start scanning shortly.
- Processing: we're reading the files and building a fast index so we can answer questions about them.
- Contextualizing: we're mapping relationships (what calls what, which service depends on which) so answers can cite specific files and functions.
- Ready: everything is done. Chat answers and reports will be at full quality.
Don't wait in front of the screen
First scans for large repositories can take longer. We'll send you an email and in-app notification when your workspace is ready, so feel free to close the tab.
