Active setup takes just a few minutes. After that, Code Lexica processes your codebase in the background (usually an hour or two, depending on size) before your workspace is fully ready. We'll email you as soon as processing finishes, so you don't need to wait around.
The four setup milestones
You'll see these as a checklist on your dashboard after signing up:
- Connect a provider: link GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket so Code Lexica can read your repositories.
- Link a repository: choose which specific codebase you'd like analyzed first.
- Create a project: group related repositories (say, a frontend and a backend) so insights span them together.
- Invite your team: add the teammates you want to share insights with.
What to expect while you wait
After you link a repository, you'll see statuses like "Pending," "Processing," and "Contextualizing." These are normal steps. Code Lexica is mapping your code so chat and reports can cite real source files instead of guessing.
You can close the tab. We'll keep working in the background and send you an email (and an in-app notification) as soon as your workspace is fully processed and ready to use.
